Do not buy any service contract from REPAIR MASTER. We made that mistake. We have an inhome plan. We tried to use it and were told they would have to pick up the TV to get it fixed. When we reminded them we have an inhome plan they said so what . If we wanted it fixed this was it. The Place they found was about an hour away and did not even have there own truck.

Bought a 4 year extended warranty. Panasonic 50" plasma stopped working with 1 year left on warranty. Repair master has been jerking me around for 5 weeks. They could not find a service rep that would work for them in my area. I had to pay for a serviceman to look at the TV. He said the Panel was gone and it was not worth repairing. I paid $6000.00 and you can get a better TV now for $1200. They would not accept his report because it was not detailed enough. They wanted part numbers and labor estimates in great detail. My servicer said diagnosis would involve changing one part then possibly another. But since the panel was gone and would be over 1500, it was something he would not attempt. We both wanted to know how he was to be paid. I was told by repair master that since they could not find someone to service it that I must. Since the repairman is the only one in my area and will not do work unless repair master pays and they won't pay. I have now been told it is my responsibility to find someone to service the TV their way at my expense and then if my claim is accepted they will pay in 6 weeks. I have had to call them 12 times with hold times of 10 to 40 min, they have said on about every second call that they are missing this or that. I check my notes and quiz them and then yes they have it, but they now need something else. All I should have had to do was make 1 phone call and wait for service. I have asked every time that they give me a direct line or return my calls so I can know what is up. They promise to call and follow up but never do. This is just a classic attempt to make me give up on my claim. The lies, new rules each call, and the passing of the obligation to find a service on to me is just wrong. You are free to by one of their warranties but do not expect to have it honored

DO NOT BUY A REPAIR MASTER SERVICE PLAN. IT IS A SCAM. Also known as Warrantech. I live in the metro Atlanta area and though there are 3 factory authorized service centers near my home, RepairMaster refused to contact them to get my appliance serviced because they said they don't work with those factory authorized service centers. This is clearly rediculous: factory authorized service and you don't work with them? Who do you work with then? I placed more calls back to RepairMaster and found there is only 1 (one!!) repair center in the entire Atlanta area on their list and when I called the service center to make an appt they refused, saying they don't service my area!! This is no joke. After I placed numerous telephone calls to RepairMaster about getting my appliance fixed, they told me I have only 1 option pay to have the appliance diagnosed at my expense, and then wait 2 3 weeks to get approval to proceed with repair (again, all at my expense), after which they can refuse to reimburse me for any reason. And reimbursement takes a minimum of 6 weeks. This is clearly a company that skating the line of the law, doing the minimum of what's barely legal, with plenty of restrictions in order to cause people to simply give up and walk away. I just bought a home about 1 month ago with a home warranty and for a $50 deductible they will repair my machine, no questions asked, using one of the local factory authorized service centers I mentioned. There you have it. Be warned.

Buy a warranty from Repairmaster Warrantech at your own risk. I bought a 56" D ILA television for more than $3000.00 (not including tax or warranty) and warranties totaling over $369.00 from Repairmaster / Warrantech. Before I bought them I called their customer service to make sure it covered the "light engine" because research told me it was a very expensive part, I was told that was a covered repair. 3 and a half years later (with a year and a half left of the 5 year warranty) the light engine went, I called and was again told by the representative it was covered. They sent a tech out (about a week later) and he confirmed that was the part that failed on the TV. Called Repairmaster / Warrantech again and was told it would be a week before they made a decision, a week later I was told they weren't going to fix the TV but replace it and they'd contact me in about another week or so to tell me what they were going to replace it with. Well a week later they told me they were going to replace the TV with a Mitsubishi DLP which is not in any way comparable to the television it would be replacing (would YOU take a Geo to replace your BMW?) so I asked what the cash out option was and was told $1194.99, the cost of the Mitsubishi. I researched for a week and couldn't find ANY TV in that price range even close to comparible. I opted for the cash out anyway, figuring I'd have to put about $800.00 of my own money with it to get something even close to comparable and was told it would arrive in the form of a gift card in 3 to 5 days, when it didn't come I called again (several times) and I'm still waiting (it's been a month and a half since the problem started). Not only do I feel ripped off but lied to as well. Time will tell if I see any settlement at all, or if I have to take them to court to get my measly settlement. I've since read reviews on others who have had bad dealings with Repairmaster / Warrantech and thought I'd add my voice to the group in hopes of helping others to avoid the disappointment and frustration I've experienced. Had there been reviews of this company back when I was looking for the warranty I certainly would have passed on buying my extended warranties from Repairmaster / Warrantech. I've read many good reviews on the Square Trade warranties sold on Amazon (they currently pay the price you paid for the TV if they opt not to fix it, not what THEY consider to be a comparable unit) when I do get my replacement I certainly won't be looking to Repairmaster Warrantech to purchase my extended warranty, Square Trade here I come! This review has been my experience with this company, your results may vary, only you can decide if you want to take a chance on having a similar experience.

BUY A REPAIRMASTER SERVICE PLAN AND YOU LOOSE YOUR MONEY:I purchased a 5 Yr.service plan for $499.99 in March 2007 from Repairmaster for my Bravia Sony TV through DTV CENTER in Virginia where I purchased the TV,and when the TV developed a pixel problem(red line on the screen in July 2010, I called them for service and gave them the details of the invoice ,but they claimed that I should have a membership with them to honor the service plan and they won't do any service without the membership card number .DTV Center told me that they registered my membership and Repairmaster claim they don't have me on their system.Bottom line Repairmaster will find a pretext not to honor their service plan,so customers,do business with Repairmaster if you want to loose your money.

They want me to take a 45" tv off the wall pack it up and send it to them to repair. Whereupon I wait for the tv to be repaired and returned and then I unpack and mount the tv on the wall. I am a 60 year old small lady who is not a weight lifter. They also let me know that if they decide the repair was negligence they will bill me what they decide is fair. So send it if you dare! Classic scam!
DON'T BUY THIS WARANTY

Bogus warranty. I am still waiting for my dryer to be fixed, they have one problem after another pushing back the service call. They don't have a lot of people that will service them so they are not able to get to me and when the first service repair man came they said they needed my receipt but i signed up for it online and nowhere did you have to send in a receipt. One series of missteps after another. I am sick of waiting. But would never buy another plan from them again.
