i bought this lens on a recommendation chester told me it would work on my cybershot and handycam the same. It works very well on my handycam not so good on my cybershot. I paid alot so i was hoping to kill 2 birds. a bit disappointed 3 stars.

I had originally chose the Sony 0737C for my high def camcorder. I was then advised by Jessica that this lens by digital vision would give me a wider field of view, a brighter resolution in a lighter smaller form factor. I gave it a try. I am now sitting at my computer writing this review, which I never do, to tell everyone what an amazing lens this is. It screwed directly on my HC 7. It immediately increased my wideness to exactly where I wanted it to be. The images are very clear and sharp. The lens is so well made and the glass is perfect. I am very happy.

What a great lens! I purchased this lens to take along with me on an African Safari. The plains in Africa are so vast and wide that i needed only the best for my wide angle shots, and i found it. First things first, this is made in Japan, which is always better then the lenses made by their off shore companions the Chinese so thats a big plus. Second the .45x is more then i bargained for on the "wideness scale". A low vignetting rate. With it on my camera i captures crystal clear stunning shots that i know will last a lifetime! Fast shipping.

First lens I received had a defect. They were very courteous and prompt with the exchange. They sent me a new lens in a special wood box for free as a good showing. Now, about the item. I knew after the first lens I would love it. I did and still am. The scenery video clips that I take for my website show so much more than without a lens. The amount of capture allows me to do much less panning and that in turn allows less shake. Marvelous.

I thought I was going to get some type of lemon by purchasing from an after market company. Wrong! I got what i paid for and i paid for a great lens!

For once, a company on the Internet, that does not try to sell you something you don't want, or try to up the price. NWV Direct has been the best company I have purchase from online. I highly recommend these folks.

A very high quality lens in a nice small design. The craftmanship and feel tell you it is made well. I like that ir accepts a lens filter. Works great on my Sony sr8
