The WP-V4 Waterproof Case from Canon permits you to record full HD video either underwater or on the surface. Whether you're diving, on a canoe trip or just at the beach, this protective case will increase the flexibility of your Vixia HFM52, M50, M500 HD camcorders.
Once inside the rugged polycarbonate case, your camcorder will be able to capture the brilliant color and detail of the spectacular underwater sights you'll experience. The housing is rated to an amazing depth of 130' and will permit a close focus distance of down to 2" so you'll be able to record even the smallest of underwater detail on marine life, coral or plants.
The front of the housing features a white glass window that minimizes distortion while filming. In addition, there's no need to worry about pre-setting any of the camera's controls before you dive since you'll maintain full access to all controls such as start/stop, telephoto and wide zoom, photo capture and preview. Your hands are always on the controls so you'll be able to shoot quick when that rare, colorful fish swims by.
The case is lightweight and easy to use. At a very lightweight 2.7 lb, it lacks the bulk normally associated with traditional underwater housings. It's comfortable in your hands and does not require extensive handling or underwater experience to use.
However, even if you're not a diver, the WP-V4 will provide protection to your camcorder even while on the surface - say rowing down a country river or just enjoying a day at the beach. In this way, you can get full use of your camcorder knowing it will be protected from splashes, dust and other contaminants.
