The HVL-F43M TTL Shoe Mount Flash from Sony is an auto / manual flash unit that offers flexible lighting control and is compatible with Sony's Multi Interface shoe. Its Quick Shift Bounce system allows it to pivot 90° left and right, allowing you to maintain horizontal light distribution even when shooting vertically. Additionally, it can tilt 8° downward and 150° upward. It features a retractable 15mm wide-angle panel, as well as a built-in bounce sheet that can be used even when shooting vertically--without changing the angle of reflected light. The flash can also be used as a modeling light.
Wireless Ratio Control enables the wireless control of up to three groups of flashes with user-selected luminosity ratios. The HVL-F43M features automatic TTL mode in addition to continuous, pre-flash and manual settings. Red-eye reduction and high-speed sync are available. The flash has an effective range of over 30'. It features a 5500K color temperature and also performs automatic white balance and auto zoom.
The HVL-F43M is powered by 4 AA alkaline or NiMH batteries; with alkalines, it will produce around 200 flashes. A durable unit, it is resistant to both dust and moisture. As an added bonus, a mini stand and case are supplied.
