Originally purchased for my HC28, once that shattered into a million pieces i was worried about this lens not working with my HC96, no problem here. Lens fit just right on the HC96 just as it did on my HC28, saved a bunch of money by using this lens. Aside from the savings the 3x telephoto zoom is always a big plus, especially when sitting in the nosebleed section of my sons baseball games, i capture every moment with absolute clarity. Fast 2 day shipping, and a nifty little carrying case for protection.

I was surprised at the high quality of this lens being it was from an after market company i never even heard of. So i did my research online and figured it would be a smart buy. So i bought it and i am not regretting it at all, with it it has brought the objects closer to me and when attached to my Sony HC1 it makes the video look even better. Pure steel barrel design make this a strong lens and even comes with a lifetime warranty. I really enjoy using this lens when out on my sailboat or just messing around from my balcony. Fast 3 days shipping arrived in perfect condition, no flaws.

I bought this lens with pressure from my wife (who loves Crystal Optics) and I, preferring genuine Sony lenses. She won (as usual) and now I'm sitting here typing this review to tell everyone else how much I LOVE this lens. I thought I was going to get some type of lemon by purchasing from an after market company. Wrong! I got what i paid for and i paid for a great lens!
