This has got to be the worst custom camera case ever designed. Even though it is a "custom" case, the camera has to be removed completely from it before it can be used. There is no tripod thread attachment. The top flap is just that a flap which refuses to lie parallel with the top of the case. The interior space is simply a cube, not a custom fit to the G7/G9 cameras. The velcro attached flip down front flap is totally redundant, and makes one wonder what Canon was thinking when they designed this case. A triumph of (bad) fashion over function.

A waste of money for a simple box to put your camera in and perhaps an adapter or filters. Apparently there is another case offered by Canon in countries other than the USA. Look it up and order it from Hong Kong or Japan. Most regrettable that Canon has not seen fit to take care of the American market.
